Sebaceous naevus are associated with malignant transformation. They commonly occur in the head and neck region and are associated with malignant transformation into basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. This case report describes a case of a malignant melanoma arising from a longstanding sebaceous naevus.

We report two cases of sebaceous carcinoma arising on actinic keratosis. The first patient, a 75-year-old female, had a granuloma pyogenicum-like tumor on her left temple, and the second patient, an 81-year-old female, developed a tumor with erythema on her left cheek. In both cases, histopathological examination revealed findings typical of sebaceous carcinoma in the center of the tumors, and in the periphery, actinic elastosis and intraepidermal proliferation of squamoid atypical cells without vacuolation was observed. An 82-year-old woman presented with a painless, progressively enlarging right neck mass of 2 years' duration. CT with contrast showed a 5.0 cm confluence of nodes just inferior to the right parotid gland. Fine-needle aspiration showed a lymphoproliferative disorder. Incisional biopsy showed sebaceous lymphadenoma. She subsequently underwent superficial right parotidectomy with neck dissection of level II-V (performed for enlarged lymph nodes causing significant pain). Facial nerve was preserved. She remained free of disease nearly 1 year postoperatively.

Nevus sebaceus of Jadassohn is a congenital yellowish hairless skin lesion, mainly located on the head and neck. A common phenomenon is the coexistence of secondary tumors within the lesion. These are mainly benign tumors, the majority of which are trichoblastoma and syringocystadenoma papilliferum. A ceruminoma is a very rare tumor of the ceruminous glands located in the outer third of the auditory canal. It occurs almost exclusively in adults. We describe the case of a 3-year old boy diagnosed with ceruminous adenoma (ceruminoma) growing within a nevus sebaceus of Jadassohn.

INTRODUCTION: Chalazion is a common eyelid lesion usually treated conservatively or with minor surgical interventions, such as incision and curettage or intralesional steroid injections. However, recurrent or atypical chalazion in a young adult patient warrants further investigation to exclude malignant conditions such as sebaceous gland carcinoma (SGC).
CASE: Here an unusual case of SGC presenting with a recurrent chalazion in a young adult patient is reported, which was diagnosed by a biopsy for histopathological examination.
OBSERVATION: Histopathology revealed sebaceous gland carcinoma.

This article reported four cases of sebaceous gland carcinoma of the eyelid with other tumors. Among them, three cases were co-occurred with other ocular tumors, two cases with visceral malignancies, and one case with chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma. Muir-Torre syndrome is a rare, autosomal dominant genodermatosis, characterized by sebaceous neoplasms and visceral carcinomas. The authors describe the case of a patient who, 16 years after the diagnosis of colon carcinoma, presented a verrucous plaque on the pubic region, histopathologically compatible with sebaceous adenoma. The need to investigate this syndrome is emphasized, especially in cases of sebaceous neoplasms located outside the head, face, and neck. Screening for neoplasms in these patients and their families is mandatory.

Sebaceous carcinoma (SC) is a malignant neoplasm demonstrating sebocytic differentiation, commonly in the periocular area. Sebocytic differentiation is recognized by multivesicular cytoplasmic clearing with frequent nuclear scalloping. Primary sebaceous carcinoma of the lacrimal gland (PSCLG) is the rarest lacrimal gland (LG) tumor, often belatedly diagnosed, worsening the prognosis.
