PURPOSE: To compare posterior capsule opacification (PCO) after cataract surgery with implantation of two silicone intraocular lenses (IOLs) with different designs.
METHODS: We carried out a prospective, clinical study of 116 patients randomized to standardized phacoemulsification with implantation of CeeOn Edge (n = 57) or SI40NB (n = 59) IOLs. The follow-up period was 3 years. To evaluate PCO morphologically, digital images were obtained and analysed using evaluation of posterior capsule opacification computer software (epco). PURPOSE: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of surgical implantation of prosthetic iris devices in patients with iris deficiency.
METHODS: Nine patients with traumatic iris defects, congenital aniridia or iris coloboma, and surgical or optical iridectomies were included in a noncomparative case series. Cataract surgery with intraocular lens and prosthetic iris implantation was performed in 10 eyes. The visual acuity, subjective degree of glare disability, postoperative anatomic results, and intraoperative and postoperative complications were evaluated.

OBJECTIVES: To determine the incidence of, risk factors for, and outcomes of delayed suprachoroidal hemorrhage (DSCH) after glaucoma filtration surgery.

INTRODUCTION: Peripheral and spinal bone metastases arise mainly from 5 osteophilic cancers: lung, prostate, kidney, breast and thyroid. Few studies combined results for the two types metastatic location (peripheral and spinal).
