BACKGROUND: Initial studies of laser trabeculoplasty using infrared energy (810 nm) emitted by diode semi-conductor lasers have been encouraging. A 2-year study of diode laser trabeculoplasty (DLT) in the control of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and ocular hypertension has been completed.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and Dacron grafts were implanted in canine femoral and carotid arteries using PTFE and Prolene suture, respectively. Binary complex formation between silicon tetrachloride (SiCl4) and formic acid (FA) has been observed in an argon matrix environment. Such complex formation manifests as spectral shifts in signature vibrations of the latter, namely the νCO, νC-O and νO-H vibrations.
