This study developed an eco-friendly extraction method for lavender essential oil (LEO) using customized deep eutectic solvents (DES), with choline chloride-lactic acid (DES3) showing optimal performance. Response surface methodology (RSM) identified the optimal extraction parameters as follows: extraction time of 147 min, DES concentration of 42%, and solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:11. Under these conditions, the LEO yield reached 5.11% ± 0.13%, significantly higher than that obtained using pure water.
