The function of keratinocytes (KCs) to form a barrier and produce cytokines is well-known, but recent progress has revealed many different roles for KCs in regulation of skin immunity. Normal levels of adenylate kinase (AK-1) and of alpha 1-acid glycoprotein (ORM1) were found in a girl with a deletion 9q32-qter secondary to a maternal translocation (4q35; 9q32), thus excluding these loci from the deleted region. This paper introduces, to our knowledge, novel methods to reduce chromatic aberrations in compound lens systems. We derive an analytical solution, the pentachromat, which corrects five distinct colors and can be extended to an arbitrary number N of lenses. Long COVID affects at least 10% of those with severe disease, and many experience neurological symptoms and brain fog. More than 200 symptoms are reported, yet a detailed understanding remains limited.
