We report a novel simplified method for managing inadvertent tube cut in a patient undergoing the Aurolab aqueous drainage implant (AADI) surgery for refractory neovascular glaucoma. Tube cut occurred while applying the polyglactin ligature suture used to avoid early postoperative hypotony. The short end of the cut tube was removed and the long end reinserted into the base plate of AADI. The surgery was then completed as usual. BACKGROUND: To compare the safety and short-term additive hypotensive effect of pneumatic trabeculoplasty (PNT) versus timolol among patients receiving topical latanoprost for primary open angle glaucoma (POAG).
PATIENTS AND METHODS: This study prospectively evaluated 30 eyes of 30 patients with POAG receiving latanoprost monotherapy. We randomly assigned 15 eyes to PNT plus latanoprost (Group A), and 15 eyes to latanoprost/timolol fixed combination therapy (Group B). PNT treatment was performed at days 0, 7, and 90. Hypotonous maculopathy is a serious complication of glaucoma filtration surgery. A patient with hypotonous maculopathy due to excessive filtration was treated with intravitreal gas. During the next several months, the intraocular pressure increased and the visual acuity improved. Intravitreal gas is useful for the treatment of hypotonous maculopathy due to excessive aqueous filtration.

PURPOSE: To describe the clinical and histopathologic findings of a child with congenital glaucoma who developed cystic epithelial ingrowth after goniotomy.
METHODS: A five-month-old boy was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma due to Axenfeld syndrome. Goniotomy was performed immediately after the clinical diagnosis in his left eye.
