A 79-year-old man underwent pancreatoduodenectomy with Imanaga reconstruction for an ampullary adenocarcinoma in 2003. After that, he experienced recurrent pancreatitis with a suspicious stenotic pancreatojejunal anastomosis. Although endoscopic drainage through the pancreatojejunal anastomosis was attempted, the stenotic anastomosis could not be located endoscopically. 64 patients (38 with esophageal and 26 with gastric carcinoma) underwent a preoperative endosonography. In 21 patients with esophageal tumors and in 24 patients with gastric tumors a complete endosonographic examination was performed. In this article presented results of examination and treatment of 30 patients with suspected neuroendocrine tumors (NEO) of the pancreas during the period from 2007 to 2010. Forty six patients (median age 61 years; 42 women) with faecal incontinence and 16 age and sex matched controls undergoing a restorative proctocolectomy were assessed by clinical examination, anorectal physiology, and anal endosonography. OBJECTIVE: To estimate a frequency of obstetric anal sphincters defects in women after vaginal delivery.
METHODS: The study included 102 women, aged from 16 to 40 years (mean age 28.6 years). 28 women had perineal lacerations of 3rd and 4th degree. 22 women had instrumental delivery.
