Adverse lamotrigine effects are more likely with concomitant use of antiepileptic drugs, rapid dose titration, and multiple drug use, highlighting the importance of measuring its concentration. Here, lamotrigine was administered the day after the third mRNA vaccination to a 20-year-old bipolar woman with these risk factors. Hypersplenism frequently accompanies cirrhosis with portal hypertension. In this series of 76 patients, 36 percent had thrombocytopenia, 41 percent had leukopenia, and 25 percent had both thrombocytopenia and leukopenia. Agranulocytosis developed in a patient with staphylococcal osteomyelitis after 35 days of treatment with orally administered cloxacillin. The patient had fever, prostration, pharyngitis, and profound leukopenia, which subsequently abated upon withdrawal of the drug. Cloxacillin should be included in the growing list of drugs capable of producing leukopenia and agranulocytosis.
