We report an apparently previously undescribed lethal skeletal dysplasia, clinically resembling achondrogenesis, but with distinct radiologic and chondro-osseous morphologic features. These comprise bifid distal ends of the long bones of the limbs, absent vertebral body ossification, a unique "baby rattle" pelvic configuration with tall and broad ilia, absent endochondral ossification, regions of mesenchymal cells within the resting cartilage, and abnormal mesenchymal ossification.

Renal leiomyoma are uncommon mesenchymal tumours, which can arise from any organ of the genitourinary tract with smooth muscle cells. The diagnostic imaging techniques available can not differentiated easily leiomyoma from other malignant renal masses. Since preoperative diagnosis cannot be made, management usually involves radical nephrectomy as in the case described. After treatment, prognosis is excellent.

Adenocarcinoma accounts for a small percentage of neoplasms arising within the renal pelvis. We describe a mucinous adenocarcinoma of the renal pelvis that occurred in a 57-year-old woman. Investigation of the recent literature reveals an additional 12 cases of adenocarcinoma of the renal pelvis reported since 1980. A new case of carcinosarcoma of the renal pelvis is reported and the literature reviewed. This tumor occurs in patients over sixty years of age. Three patients died of the disease in one year, and 2 showed six-month and two-year disease-free survival after nephrectomy.

INTRODUCTION: Neglected pelvic fractures manifesting as pelvic nonunion or malunion are usually due to inadequate initial fixation or negligence of the injury because of increased attention towards other associated life-threatening conditions. The management of such injuries is complex. A systematic review was conducted to spot the clinical manifestations, evaluation, management and outcome of pelvic nonunion and malunion.
