PURPOSE: To investigate the outcome of transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (TCP) in the treatment of acute angle closure (AAC) refractory to medical treatment.
METHODS: This is a retrospective interventional case series. The inclusion criteria include patients diagnosed with AAC who had TCP. This consensus statement was drawn up by the Italian society of colorectal surgery in order to provide practice parameters for an accurate assessment of the disease and consequent appropriate treatment. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: To characterize the cellular, immunological, and inflammatory response to retinal photocoagulation of intense rupture laser lesions as a model of retinal degenerative diseases.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Seven C57BL/6 mice were irradiated using a 532-nm laser to induce 10 retinal burns per eye that ruptured Bruch's membrane. Blood was drawn from the saphenous vein before and 2 months after laser treatment. The serum was run on antigen microarrays with 85 molecular markers associated with retinal degenerative diseases.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the outcomes of intravitreal injection of bevacizumab (IVB) for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
METHODS: IVB was selected to be the first treatment for type 1 ROP in 8 eyes (4 patients). Bevacizumab (0.25 mg/eye) was injected into the vitreous cavity under either general anesthesia or sedation. PURPOSE: To evaluate the long-term clinical efficacy and safety of gas tamponade combined with laser photocoagulation for optic disc pit maculopathy.
METHODS: Seven consecutive patients with unilateral maculopathy associated with optic disc pit and one patient with bilateral optic disc pit maculopathy were given octafluoropropane (C3F8) tamponade combined with focal laser photocoagulation treatment. When fluorescein angioscopy or angiography is required in an infant, it is usually performed in the operating theater or neonatal unit. We report a case of an infant with incontinentia pigmenti in whom we were able to acquire angiographic information in an office setting by using an ultra-widefield non-contact system with oral fluorescein.
