Pure vascularized periosteal transplants have been shown to be extremely effective at achieving rapid bone healing in children with biologically complex non-union. The success of transplantation of the urinary bladder en bloc with pediatric kidneys remains undetermined. We transplanted a large portion of the bladder with en bloc kidney allografts from a 13-month-old donor into a 45-year-old adult male. The recipient, who was on long-term hemodialysis, had a small urinary bladder consistent with long-standing anuria. The authors present the first reported case of retinopathy of prematurity in twin-twin transfusion syndrome. A 31-year-old woman gave birth to twins at 31 weeks' gestation. The pregnancy had been complicated by twin-twin transfusion syndrome and had been managed with two amnioreductions and laser ablation of the interplacental blood vessels. The donor twin, born at 1,310 g, had threshold retinopathy of prematurity and underwent argon laser retinal photocoagulation treatment. The recipient twin (1,775 g) did not show any evidence of retinopathy of prematurity.

One lymphocele was observed in 151 renal transplants. Ureteral compression led to obstructive uropathy with decreased renal function. Lymphedema remains a chronic and challenging condition with limited curative options. Recent advances have expanded treatment strategies from comprehensive conservative management to microsurgical interventions, particularly lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA). LVA is a physiological surgical method in which functional lymphatic vessels are connected to nearby subdermal venules, enabling lymphatic fluid to bypass obstructed pathways and drain into the venous circulation. The success of LVA depends heavily on the accurate preoperative assessment and localization of functional lymphatic vessels.
