OBJECTIVES: Becker's nevus is a cosmetically bothersome benign hamartoma typically associated with basal layer hyperpigmentation and hypertrichosis. We herein present the largest case series characterizing treatment parameters and clinical outcomes of combined 1550 nm non-ablative fractional resurfacing and laser hair removal (long-pulsed neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet or alexandrite) in the treatment of Becker's nevus. We used neodymium-YAG laser to perform discissions of the posterior capsules in 221 eyes of 203 patients who had undergone previous extracapsular cataract extractions. After a follow-up period ranging from 1-96 months, in the mean 10.5 months, 47.06% of the eyes achieved corrected visual acuities of > or = 0.5. The first results of laser surgery in superficial penile tumours are reported. In 2 patients with condylomata acuminata, 2 cases of giant condylomata Buschke-Löwenstein and in 2 patients suffering from early stage penile cancer diagnostic and/or therapeutic treatments using carbon dioxide or neodymium-YAG laser have been performed. Hunter's Syndrome (MPS II) is a class of hereditary disorder characterized by a deficiency of specific enzyme--iduronate sulphatase required to break down mucopolisacharides and occurs in Poland in one of 100-150 thousand male live births. MPS II may be lethal in the second decade of life as a result of infiltrativ cardiomiopathy leading to irreversible heart failure or upper airway obstruction caused by infiltration, granulation and deformation in trachea or larynx. We report a case of 14-year-old male with Hunter Syndrome who developed tracheal obstruction and was treated with Nd-Yag laser.
