BACKGROUND: The shaping of the cartilage and keeping it in place is very significant for patients who need nasal reconstruction with costal grafts at traumatic or secondary rhinoplasties. In this study, a template is prepared during the surgery that shows the dorsal defect in a 3-dimensional manner and acts as a guide while shaping the cartilage.

Viable motheaten (mev) mice are homozygous for a recessive single gene mutation at chromosome 6. These mice develop numerous inflammatory and arthritic syndromes and exhibit abnormal B cell functions as well as lower T and NK cell activity. The causes of vaginal discharge for pruritus vulvae in a patient are considered in three categories: common causes like vaginal candidosis, Trichomonal vaginitis, Gardnerella vaginitis; less common causes like gonococcal infection, Chlamydia infection and T-mycoplasma infection; and uncommon causes which include allergy to nylon underwear, human papilloma infection and eczema. We used releasable sutures to minimize immediate postoperative hypotony and flat anterior chamber in 19 cases of refractory glaucoma requiring insertion of a single-plate Molteno implant in a one-stage procedure. A slip knot using 7-0 nylon suture was fashioned around the Molteno tube under a lamellar scleral flap. In 18 of the 19 eyes, anterior chamber depth was normal immediately after surgery.
