The purpose of this investigation was to undertake an objective and quantitative evaluation of how the degree of chin prominence influences perceived attractiveness. The chin prominence of an idealized profile image was altered in 2 mm increments from -24 to 12 mm, in order to represent retrusion and protrusion of the chin, respectively. Expulsion (spitting out food) is a problem behavior observed in many children with feeding disorders. In the current investigation, we identified 4 children diagnosed with a feeding disorder who exhibited high rates of expulsion. Treatment with re-presentation (placing expelled liquids or solids back into the child's mouth) was not effective in reducing expulsion. Rhabdomyomatous mesenchymal hamartoma (RMH) is a rare benign tumor composed of skeletal muscle fibers and other mesenchymal-derived cells. The lesions are generally solitary sessile papules or skin tag lesions that occur during childhood. We retrospectively reviewed patients diagnosed with RMH pathologically between January 2001 and June 2020 at a tertiary medical center. A literature review was conducted. Chin-on- chest deformity is not uncommon sequelae of ankylosing spondylitis. Apart from difficult airway, several other considerations might include co-existing cardio-respiratory embarrassment, osteoporotic bones, and neurological perturbations. We describe the successful anesthetic management of a case of chin-on-chest deformity with no access to midline neck structures and extremely difficult airway posted for corrective spine surgery.
