Post-appendectomy faecal fistula is a rare surgical complication, associated with significant morbidity. Taenia saginata infestation is one of the most common cestode infestation in the gastrointestinal tract. It makes many complications as obstruction, perforation, anastomotic leakage or appendicular stump dehiscence. The objective of our study is to report a very rare case of post appendectomy faecal fistula caused by taenia saginata infestation and was successfully treated conservatively.

Appendectomy is one of the most common procedures in surgical practice. Stump appendicitis is an acute inflammation of the residual part of the appendix and a rare complication of incomplete appendectomy. It may present clinically as acute abdomen. We report a case of stump appendicitis 12 years after open appendectomy. After the diagnosis of acute appendicitis, the patient was operated and discharged from the hospital four days after operation without any complications. Stump appendicitis is a rare cause of acute abdomen and should be taken into consideration in the differential diagnosis.

Inguinal and scrotal suppuration following appendectomy is a rare event, occurring mostly when a patent processus vaginalis is present. Herein we report a small series of children operated for appendicitis and presented with acute inguinal and scrotal symptoms postoperatively. Although acute scrotum is commonly attributed to torsion of testis or its appendage, epididymo-orchitis and incarcerated hernia, following appendicitis scrotal and/or inguinal abscess should be considered.
