Decreases in shellfish production have been ascribed to deterioration of water quality due to sewage discharges. This study involves a site characterization followed by biomonitoring with the zebra mussel, Dreissena polymorpha, at the Times Beach confined placement facility (CPF), located in Buffalo, NY.
