PURPOSE: To evaluate the clinical outcomes of scleral fixation using the flanged belt-loop technique in patients with in-the-bag intraocular lens (IOL) subluxation after cataract surgery.
SETTING: Beyoglu Eye Training and Research Hospital, Turkey.

A novel strategy is proposed to fabricate ordered long polyvinyl alcohol fiber (PVAF)-reinforced thermoplastic starch (TPS) composites with significantly improved mechanical properties. AIMS: To describe the benefits and complications of a combined bovine/pericardium polypropylene mesh for severe vaginal wall prolapse at midterm follow up.
METHODS: Retrospective analysis of patients with stages 3 and 4 pelvic prolapse undergoing cystocele repair using the combined mesh.

Three dogs in which polypropylene suture material was used to close an enteric surgery site in a continuous pattern were evaluated at a later date because of recurrence of signs of intestinal disease.
