Thirty T cell receptor (TCR)gammadelta+ T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias (T-ALL) were analyzed for their immunophenotype, as well as for the rearrangements and junctional regions of the TCRG and TCRD genes. In 15 cases membrane expression of TCRgammadelta proteins could be studied extensively by flow cytometry with a new Vgamma/Vdelta antibody panel. We encountered five children with peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTL) at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) from 1985-1989. The patients were four boys and one girl, aged between 5 and 13 years. Post-transplantation lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) occur after solid organ and bone marrow transplantation. They are predominantly of B-cell and occasionally of T-cell lineage. We report a case of PTLD of natural killer (NK) cell lineage. A renal allograft recipient developed progressive pancytopenia 1 year after transplantation. A patient presented with lymphoblastic lymphoma in lymph-nodes and chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) in narrow and peripheral blood. OBJECTIVES: We sought to determine the significance of bright CD45 expression on mast cells in cases of systemic mastocytosis vs mast cells in bone marrows uninvolved by systemic mastocytosis and compare this CD45 expression with CD25 and CD2 expression on mast cells.
METHODS: Multiparameter flow cytometry was performed on 31 cases of systemic mastocytosis and 70 bone marrow cases that were not involved by systemic mastocytosis.
