Cross-Cultural Adaptation and Preliminary Psychometric Evaluation of the Romanian Version of the Revised MISSCARE Survey: A Single-Centre Pilot Study.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Missed nursing care is a patient-safety concern shaped by organizational resources, workload, and care prioritization. No Romanian version of the Revised MISSCARE Survey has previously undergone published cross-cultural and psychometric evaluation. This study translated and culturally adapted the instrument and examined its preliminary measurement properties and item-level findings in a Romanian hospital. METHODS: A methodological, cross-sectional, single-centre pilot study invited all 487 nurses employed at a large university-affiliated hospital in western Romania. Tra

Navigating Transition to Adult Care in Youth-Onset Type 2 Diabetes: Facilitators, Attitudes, Barriers, and Behaviors.

CONTEXT: Transitioning from pediatric to adult-centered diabetes care may be challenging, especially for young individuals at risk for and with youth-onset type 2 diabetes (Y-T2D) who have a high disease burden and rapidly progressive disease. However, the scope of transition readiness, range of psychosocial factors, and perceived barriers among Y-T2D are understudied. OBJECTIVE: In Y-T2D attending an adult diabetes transition clinic, our objectives were to (1) characterize attitudes toward transition readiness, (2) examine relationships among depressive and anxiety-related symptoms and trans

Artificial intelligence-based nurse scheduling in healthcare: A scoping review of functional features and empirical outcomes.

BACKGROUND: Nurse scheduling is a complex workforce management task that directly influences nurses' fatigue, job satisfaction, and retention, as well as patient safety. Traditional rule-based or manually constructed schedules may not fully accommodate increasing workforce complexity, diverse nurse preferences, and organizational constraints. Recent advances in artificial intelligence have enabled the development of intelligent nurse scheduling systems intended to optimize staffing decisions while balancing organizational efficiency and workforce well-being. However, the scope, functional char
