OBJECTIVE: To study the relationship between the pathological classification and molecular genetics of hydatidiform mole.
METHOD: 32 cases of hydatidiform mole were analyzed by DNA restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP, hybridized with the probe 33.15).

The incidence of elbow disease based solely on arthrosis (ARTH) score was compared with a protocol using a combination of ARTH score plus a score for primary lesions (ED score). The population of dogs studied included 425 Bernese mountain dogs and 22 dogs of other breeds. The overall agreement between the two systems was high. However, 12 per cent of ARTH-score negative cases were positive using the ED score. This difference was statistically significant (P < 0.005). A 71-year-old man presented with an acute onset of multiple white papules on the face and chest. Histologic sections demonstrated multiple milia. The rare condition of multiple eruptive milia occurs when crops of milia develop suddenly on the face and upper trunk. Rare isolated cases have been reported; however there has not been a review of these cases or an attempt to classify them.
