Twelve consecutive patients with severe spasticity and hypertonia following acquired brain injury were treated with continuous intrathecal infusion of baclofen via an implanted, programmable infusion pump-catheter system for a minimum of 3 months. This case report describes a patient who for 31 months has received regional intrahepatic chemotherapy from a continuous infusion pump and who developed a gastroduodenal artery-duodenal fistula, a previously unreported complication of regional infusion therapy. Antithrombotic treatment and perioperative management in patients with hemophilia remains a challenge.
