We conducted a case control study of selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) blocking agents and lung cancer. A total of 492 newly diagnosed lung cancer cases were ascertained during January 1, 2002 to September 30, 2004, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. OBJECTIVE: To explore how Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) are addressing food insecurity by understanding their existing and needed services, policies, and community partnerships using a social determinants of health perspective to promote health equity.
DESIGN: A mixed-methods, exploratory case study research design consisting of two phases was conducted in 2023. Phase I involved a survey of FQHC leaders in Ohio. From these data, eight FQHC cases were identified for Phase II qualitative interviews of staff and patients.

This paper analyzes the effect of incarceration on mortality using administrative data from Ohio between 1992 and 2017. We first document that long-run survival is higher among the incarcerated than similar non-incarcerated defendants. Using event study designs centered around the time of release, we show why: mortality risk halves during the period of incarceration, with large reductions in murders, overdoses, and natural causes of death. Using records from Ohio annual vital statistics tapes, we describe a method for linking live birth and infant death certificates and for dealing with late-registered and unregistered births. In our 1985-87 Cleveland and East Cleveland study population, deceased infants with late-registered births were found to be similar to those with timely registered births.
