Even though the definitions in the third edition of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual were supposed to be descriptions of clinical syndromes, the third and later editions of the DSM have included diagnostic categories for conversion disorder and various forms of somatization disorder, which represent an assertion of causality, not an observation of a clinical syndrome. 50 patients with epicondylus ulnaris fractures are analysed. 4 types of fracture are recognised. The results of therapy are often described in literature much more optimistically than in reality. The first critical examination and the selection of therapy, mostly a surgical intervention, had a great influence on mobility of the elbow joint, on strength and subjective perception. The results could only be assessed after three years. Complications of concomitant injuries - nerve lesion and ligament/capsule structures - were discussed with regard to surgical approach.

Principal components analysis was used to delineate motivational patterns associated with illicit drug use in a population of U.S. Navy enlisted men (n = 867) undergoing drug rehabilitation. Patients indicated which of 31 reasons for drug use were associated with various drugs. Four components emerged from this analysis, labeled Insight-Seeking, Therapeutic Needs, Sentience, and Pleasure-Seeking. According to traditional Asian philosophy, sochungryong-tang (S-Tang) is a prescription for treating exterior syndrome. In this study, we investigated the effect of S-Tang on mast cell-mediated anaphylaxis. S-Tang completely inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic shock at a dose of 100 mg/kg.
