BACKGROUND: Penile pearly papules (PPP) are benign angiofibromas of the penis, frequently misdiagnosed as genital warts (condylomata acuminata). The lesions are often the reason for significant distress of the patient and his sexual partner, thus requiring occasional treatment, removing the lesions in a non-aggressive manner.
METHODS: Forty-five patients with PPP were treated with 2940 nm Er:YAG laser (Skinlight, FOTONA, Slovenia) in ablation mode. The treatment parameters were: energy 400-500 mJ, spot diameter 1.5-3 mm, repetition rate 8-10 Hz and energy density 5.8-28.9 J/cm(2).

OBJECTIVE: This study determined presence or absence of residual cancer in the surgical specimen and analyzed outcomes.
METHOD: A retrospective study of 57 patients with glottic carcinoma (7 Tis, 47 T1a, and 3 T1b) treated from January 2000 to February 2010. All histological slides from the 57 patients were re-examined under the light microscope by the pathologist and the surgeon. We performed multiple biopsies and intraoperative biopsy as a diagnostic procedure.
RESULT: There were 5, 4, 41, 3, and 4 types I to V cordectomies, respectively. 6 negative cordectomies (10.5%) were reported.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the changes and relevant factors of forward scatter after Epipolis laser in situ keratomileusis (Epi-LASIK)and laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
METHODS: It was a prospective clinical comparative study. 45 patients (45 eyes) were scheduled for Epi-LASIK and 42 patients (42 eyes) for LASIK.
