In this study, the effect of biochar (BC) derived from Litchi chinensis Sonn. and its modification, including Ca-biochar (Ca-BC) and Fe-Mn-biochar (Fe-Mn-BC), on the transportation of oestrone (E1) in water and soil was investigated. Fe-Mn-BC showed better adsorption ability than other types of biochar (BC, Ca-BC) under different conditions (humic acid, pH, ionic strength) in an aqueous environment. An analysis of subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) lymphocytes was performed in order to find out whether T or K cells were involved in killing of 51Cr-labeled allogeneic measles virus-infected target cells. We describe a case of a pregnant woman with anti-C/anti-G antibodies masquerading as anti-D antibodies. Further, confirmation of anti-D antibody is recommended with adsorption-elution studies to confirm the true antibody status. This will avoid the consequence of withholding Rh immunoglobulin prophylaxis in cases when anti-D antibodies are not present.

The addition of formic acid to the carrier gas will permit the on-column liberation of the free acids following the direct injection of barbiturates as their sodium salts. These free acids may then be resolved upon an Apiezon L column: the presence of formic acid also minimizes the adsorption effects which may be associated with the gas chromatographic analysis of these relatively polar drugs.

This study investigates the potential of Citrus paradisi peel (CP) as biosorbent for the elimination of Rhodamine B (RhD B) from wastewater.
