A 58-year-old man was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma with a tumor proportion score of 10%. After six cycles of second-line chemotherapy with nivolumab, he achieved a complete response (CR) but developed uveitis and sensorineural hearing disorder, which were consistent with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH)-like syndrome. An 8-year-old, brachycephalic, mixed breed cat underwent full mouth tooth extractions for the treatment of tooth root abscessation. BACKGROUND: Plasma and B cells are implicated in multiple sclerosis (MS) and produce free light chains (FLC) that are excreted in urine.
OBJECTIVE: To confirm that demyelinating diseases (DD) cause increased urinary FLCs.
METHOD: Urinary FLC in 50 patients with DD were compared to 20 patients with posterior uveitis (PU), 19 with AIDS, 34 with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and 19 normal controls (NC).
RESULT: Subjects with DD, PU, RA and AIDS have higher urinary FLCs than NC (p<0.01). Urinary FLCs did not correlate with gadolinium-enhancing lesions on MRI.

PURPOSE: To report a case where combined whole-body Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET-CT scanning was used to aid in the diagnosis of a patient with occult sarcoidosis.
DESIGN: Case report.
METHODS: FDG PET-CT scanning was performed in a patient who presented with persistent bilateral panuveitis after cataract surgery and had undergone an extensive negative workup.

We reviewed the results following trabeculodialysis in 25 eyes of 22 patients with secondary glaucoma due to chronic anterior uveitis. After 1 year, intraocular pressure (IOP) was uncontrolled (greater than 21 mm Hg) in 11 eyes (44%). Trabeculodialysis controlled IOP (less than 21 mm Hg) in 14 eyes (56%), with an average follow up of 52 months (range, 12 to 151 months).
