This study investigated the antimicrobial susceptibility of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolated from cases of subclinical bovine mastitis in China, as well as resistance mechanisms and virulence genes encoding adhesins and toxins. This case report describes a rare association of tetralogy of Fallot with interatrial communication of the inferior sinus venosus type (inferior sinus venosus defect). The patient underwent intracardiac repair for tetralogy of Fallot at 8 months of age. His postoperative course was complicated by desaturation. On reexploration, interatrial communication of the inferior sinus venosus type was revealed which went unnoticed on transthoracic echocardiogram as well as on computerized tomogram.

PURPOSE: Diffuse sclerosing osteomyelitis (DSO) is a rare disease of the jaw bone. Its treatment is challenging. Different medical and surgical treatment protocols have been proposed; however, none of these treatment protocols produce reliable results.
