BACKGROUND: Endometrial stromal sarcomas (ESS) constitute only 0.2% of all gynecological malignancies, and risk factors or genetic associations are largely unknown. We are in contact with more than 100 patients with ESS via an internet support group, and our aim was to analyze the personal and familial medical histories of this large patient group for possible familial cancers aggregations in ESS patients.
METHODS: A questionnaire regarding the personal and familial medical history was circulated among the members of the internet group, which was returned by 64 patients.

This study investigates risk communication within genetic counselling. Transcripts of 115 U.K. genetic consultations were reliably coded into form of risk expression used, whether the patient responded with understanding and agreement or showed signs of misunderstanding or disagreement, or did not respond at all, and whether clinicians assessed patient comprehension. PURPOSE: The objective of this study is to assess proprioception anomalies in postural deficiency syndrome in a group of children suffering from reading impairment.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: Sixty male patients with an average age of 11 years and 9 months were included in the study. Initially, they were given a standardized neuropsychological examination, which confirmed the diagnosis of reading impairment. The authors present the course of puberty in three girls after surgery because of hormonally active ovarian tumours diagnosed and operated at the age of 3, 6 and 9 years, respectively. In the youngest patient with folliculoma ovari chemotherapy was also given, and girl No. 3 with luteinic capsule was treated for one year with decapeptyl because idiopathic precocious puberty was diagnosed. At present all three girls are in good physical condition with age-adequate development and puberty.
