Wegener's granulomatosis can involve the orbit and sometimes the optic nerve. This usually occurs as a result of contiguous spread from affected sinuses or extraocular muscles, or from a vasculitic posterior optic neuropathy. A case of a salivary gland mucocele in a dog causing nonpainful exopthalmos with dorsolateral deviation of the globe and protrusion of the third eyelid. Diagnosis was made via ultrasound and confirmed with computed tomography. Aspiration of the cystic material along with injection of a sclerosing agent, 1% polidocanol (Aethoxysklerol), was used to destroy the mucocele. Follow-up monthly examination post injection confirmed resolution of clinical signs to date, namely abnormal globe position, with no complications observed.

Brown tumors appear in advanced stages of hyperparathyroidism. Only 17 cases have been documented in the orbit. We report a case of a young woman with a brown tumor in the orbital roof. Secondary hyperparathyroidism due to chronic renal disease was detected during the preoperative study. The pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of the brown tumor are discussed.

We report a case of orbital emphysema secondary to ethmoidal fracture after minimal trauma as differential diagnosis of orbital cellulitis not reported before in children. An 8 year-old girl with diagnosis of orbital cellulitis was remitted for admittance, IV antibiotics and evaluation by an ophthalmologist. However, further evaluation led to a diagnosis of ethmoidal lamina papyracea fracture. Patient showed complete resolution in 4 days with outpatient treatment. Once again, this case corroborates that meticulous history taking and physical examination are irreplaceable for decision making.

Enophthalmos is a complex and unpredictable condition to treat secondarily, and this is likely to remain a difficult challenge.
