PURPOSE: In a retrospective study, we evaluated the complications in using the motility peg system (nonsleeved and sleeved) for hydroxyapatite orbital implants in an anophthalmic socket.
METHODS: Drilling for motility peg placement was performed in 265 patients with hydroxyapatite implantation: nonsleeved peg system (n = 191), sleeved peg system (n = 74). A statistical analysis was performed using the chi-square test.

Orbital MALT lymphoma is a relatively rare malignant disease, for which radiation therapy is effective. However, the optimal dose has not been determined. We experienced two cases of orbital MALT lymphoma. One patient was successfully treated, but the other developed a severe complication. We conclude that for safe treatment of orbital MALT lymphoma, a dose in excess of 40 Gy must not be delivered.

Eight African hedgehogs (Atelerix albiventris) were presented with unilateral proptosis. Six animals presented specifically for an ocular problem, whereas two had concurrent neurologic disease. The placement of a motility coupling post (MCP) to integrate the prosthesis with a porous orbital implant may enhance prosthetic motility following enucleation. PURPOSE: We present a case of a large mucocele pressing the orbit forward and compared our findings with those reported by others.
CASE REPORT: A 23-year-old woman was examined for an inflammatory tumor of the internal canthus. She had a 6/10 vision loss of the left eye, diplopia, and non-axial exophthalmos. UNLABELLED: We present a retrospective study of 85 patients presenting an isolated orbital floor fracture between 1993 and 1997; 79 of them (93%) were operated via a subciliary or transconjunctival approach.
