OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to detect the expression of laminin (LN) and laminin receptor (LN-R) in the specimens of hydatidiform mole (HM), invasive mole (IM) and choriocarcinoma(CC), respectively.
METHODS: The immunohistological staining method was used.

Osteoblastoma is an uncommon benign bone tumor diagnosed in about 1% of primary bone tumors. The treatment strategy for patients with thymoma or thymic carcinoma still has not been confirmed, and the molecular biologic characteristics of these tumors have not been defined also. We have emphasized the clinical significance of this classification so far by the research cooperation with professor Müller-Hermelink, the institute of pathology, Würzburg University. Oral lichen planus (OLP) is classified among precancerous conditions, as it is considered a generalized state associated with a significantly increased risk of cancer. HYPOTHESIS: Some controversy exists concerning the appropriate surgical management for patients with thyroid cancer invading the laryngotracheal wall. We have used shaving of the wall when cancer invasion was confined to the perichondrium, and extensive resection when it invaded further. Patients with von Hippel-Lindau disease (VHLD) may develop pancreatic lesions, including cysts, serous cystadenomas and islet cell tumors. However, only a few cases of pancreatic metastasis have been reported. We present a case of VHLD with multiple pancreatic metastases from renal cell carcinoma.
