Drug-induced secondary angle closure is quite common and in the majority of cases simply stopping the medication leads to rapid reversal of the condition and resolution of glaucoma. We describe here a patient who presented with secondary angle closure glaucoma and myopia following mefenamic acid ingestion which was managed successfully by stopping the medication, symptomatic treatment and reassurance.

PURPOSE: To assess the safety, efficacy, and stability of conductive keratoplasty (CK) in the treatment of presbyopia.
METHODS: Ten near plano presbyopic patients (6 women and 4 men) underwent unilateral CK in the non-dominant eye to improve their near vision. Mean age was 51 +/- 3.1 years (range: 46 to 56 years). While private hospitals provide an important access point for low vision services for children in urban India, little is known about this service delivery route. We studied the effect of cataract extraction and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation (14 unilateral and 2 bilateral cases) on eye growth in 16 children. BACKGROUND: Use of sutures with aphakic epikeratoplasty is time-consuming during surgery and can create significant hazards for the patient. Thus, a surgical technique for aphakic epikeratoplasty without sutures was developed.
METHODS: The conventional procedure was modified to use an oversized lenticule tucked evenly in an expanded lamellar pocket with no anchoring sutures. The technique was performed on one eye of 27 consecutive patients over a 9-month period.

Head injuries are frequently associated with ophthalmic problems. We studied 75 epikeratoplasty procedures using nonlyophilized tissue performed by eight ophthalmic surgeons in 70 eyes (47 patients) to correct for aphakia in children less than 8 years of age (mean age, 3.4 +/- 2.1 years).
