From July to August 2016, 4 homeless people who injected drugs (PWID) with acute or recent hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection were reported in Belfast. A multidisciplinary team including public health, homeless and addiction services undertook an investigation to identify risk behaviours and interrupt transmission chains. PURPOSE: This study evaluated the effect of forearm or hand warming versus bare hand conditions to improve cold-induced symptoms and skin temperatures in hand trauma patients.

METHODS: Primary care providers included staff (attendees, fellows, nurse practitioners) and residents practicing >or=1 session/week in an outpatient general medicine practice or community practices. We report on 3 consecutive cross-sectional surveys measuring the prevalence of HIV, other infectious diseases, and related risk behavior among MSM in Beijing in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
