INTRODUCTION: Correction of chordee remains a prerequisite prior to urethroplasty in children with severe hypospadias. The use of an interposition graft is indicated when significant chordee (>300) persists after division of the urethral plate. The corpus cavernosum smooth muscle is important for both erection of the penis and for maintaining penile flaccidity. Most of the time, the smooth muscle cells are in a contracted state, which limits filling of the corpus sinuses with blood. Priapism is a urological emergency that is defined as a prolonged penile erection lasting more than 4 h, remaining despite orgasm and in the absence of sexual stimulation. Without prompt and complete detumescence, time-dependent changes occur to the smooth muscle of the corpus cavernosa that can result in permanent erectile dysfunction and penile deformity (curvature, shortening and loss of girth). A clinical observation of the distal segmental thrombosis of the left corpus cavernosum is presented in the article. Efficient treatment was based on the results of contrast MRI, and timely application of long-term doses of antithrombotic drugs was done. Diphallia is an uncommon deformity, with glans duplication being its rarest form. We discuss here a case of a 6-year-old boy who presented due to excess prepuce malformation that, on examination, revealed a "penile nodule" that proved to be glans duplication. Our patient had only one urethra present and no congenital anomalies. Surgical uneventful penile reconstruction involving radiofrequency ablation (RFA) resolved the issue.

We present 2 cases of prolonged ischemic priapism in which corpus cavernosum tissue was obtained using the Winter procedure with an automatic biopsy needle for construction of a percutaneous distal shunt and the relationship with erectile recovery was evaluated. Congenital aphallia is a rare anomaly with little supporting literature and controversial management.
