IMPORTANCE: Bladder perforation is an often avoidable complication of retropubic midurethral sling procedures. Bladder injury rates decrease with surgeon experience, but literature on techniques to train novice surgeons is limited.

PURPOSE: To compare the anatomical and functional outcomes of silicone oil (SO)-filled foldable capsular vitreous body (FCVB) and SO endotamponade in vitrectomy for patients with no light perception after ocular trauma.
METHODS: A total of 64 patients (64 eyes) with no light perception caused by severe ocular trauma were divided into FCVB and SO groups based on the surgical treatment. OBJECTIVE: Extracorporeal life support (ECLS) for circulatory and/or respiratory failure is improving. Currently, invasive sternotomies or rib-spreading thoracotomies are used for central cannulation of the heart and great vessels.
