Ultrasound examinations were performed us a step in the follow-up of 62 patients previously treated with conservative surgery for malignant ovarian tumors. With a minimal follow-up period of 36 months (range 36-129) 12 recurrences of disease were observed in nine patients. A 57-year-old obese man was referred to a physical therapist 14 weeks after left knee arthroplasty due to loss of function and worsening symptoms. Male sexual dysfunction is a common entity in primary care practice. The 3 most common types are erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and decreased libido. Clinicians must be comfortable and skilled in taking a complete sexual, social, and medical history and performing a physical examination in persons complaining of sexual dysfunction. Treatment of male sexual dysfunction may include medications and individual or couples psychotherapy. Treatment should be aimed at reducing emotional and physical morbidity in the patient and his partner.

Successful treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome requires obtaining a history of the physical and environmental factors involved for each patient, conducting a thorough physical examination, and staging and implementing an individually tailored treatment plan. Rest and avoiding pressure on the nerve by activity modification might be sufficient. If symptoms persist, splint immobilization of the elbow is warranted. Keep in mind that the natural history of untreated cubital tunnel syndrome includes spontaneous improvement in approximately half of patients.

Pectus excavatum is an anterior chest deformity that is characterized by a depressed sternum. Physical examination is the primary means of diagnosis. Common surgical operations to correct this malformation include the Ravitch and Nuss procedures, both of which have favorable postoperative outcomes. This deformity affects physical, emotional and psychological well-being. Clinicians may be distracted by a patient's chief complaint of anxiety, depression, or personality change and fail to pursue the possibility of organic disease. The author provides a brief review of physical diseases that produce psychiatric symptoms. He stresses the danger of misdiagnosis and urges clinicians to remain alert to etiological clues during examination, especially when treating patients who have a history of depression, neurotic reactions, or psychosis.

Anxiety is commonly encountered in patient seen by the general practitioner. Frequently it either stimulates an organic condition involving one or more systems of the body or may aggravate symptoms of already existent organic pathology. Presence of environmental stresses and of personal conflicts in the life history of patient and the absence of physical findings on physical examination should alert the physician of this condition. Pharmacotherapy with minor tranquilizers and reassurance generally produce amelioration of symptoms.

PURPOSE: Abusive head trauma (AHT) is a form of child physical abuse that can result in major ocular injuries. This study describes the clinical presentation and ocular manifestations of infants diagnosed with AHT in a tertiary care center in Saudi Arabia.
METHODS: This is an observational, retrospective, cross-sectional study from 2015 to 2022 conducted at King Abdullah Specialized Children's Hospital (KASCH) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Inclusion criteria include infants <2 years of age, diagnosed with AHT that had an eye examination as part of the evaluation.
