The authors presented a short survey for application of Methotrexate for treatment of intact ectopic pregnancy and its usage in Gynecological clinic of MBAL-Pleven during the last five years. OBJECTIVES: To compare doxazosin and alfuzosin in patients with moderate to severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) suggestive of bladder outlet obstruction.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: In all, 210 men with LUTS were randomized to receive doxazosin 1-8 mg once daily or alfuzosin 5-10 mg divided in two or three daily doses in a 14-week, multicentre, double-blind, baseline-controlled, dose-titration study. PURPOSE: To describe the long-term efficacy and side effects of treatment of blepharospasm with botulinum neurotoxin type A (Botox).
METHODS: A total of 178 patients with blepharospasm were treated by injections of botulinum toxin in the Eye Clinic of the University of Naples from 1980 to 2001. The severity of spasm for each patient was graded on a four-point scale. Duration of improvement was assessed and reported in months.
RESULTS: Of 178 cases, 10 were lost to follow-up; of the remaining patients, 93% reported improvement after treatments. The mean duration of improvement was 3.6 months.

BACKGROUND: Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is an intensely prothrombotic syndrome managed by discontinuation of heparin therapy and substitution of an alternative inhibitor of thrombin. We describe our experience with argatroban, a direct thrombin inhibitor, in patients with HIT or HIT with thrombosis (HITTS).
METHODS: In this multicenter, nonrandomized prospective study, 418 patients with HIT were administered intravenous argatroban, 2 micro g/kg per minute, adjusted to maintain the activated partial thromboplastin time at 1.5 to 3 times the baseline value for a mean of 5 to 7 days.

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether the antidepressant bupropion may be useful in treating atopic dermatitis and psoriasis in nondepressed patients.
