PURPOSE: This study determines what young adolescents themselves identify as the potential positive and negative outcomes of having sex, using a condom and not using a condom.
METHODS: Using written surveys, 418 ethnically diverse ninth graders, 86% of whom had never had sex, responded to a scenario describing two adolescents who had sex. OBJECTIVE: Patients with vulvar vestibulitis syndrome and control subjects were tested for evidence of allergy to seminal fluid to differentiate women with a clinical diagnosis of vulvar vestibulitis syndrome into discrete categories.
STUDY DESIGN: Plasma samples from 52 women with vulvar vestibulitis syndrome and 43 control subjects were tested for immunoglobulin E antibodies to seminal fluid, total immunoglobulin E, interleukin-4, and interleukin-12 by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. BACKGROUND: Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis (NBP) is the most common prostatitis syndrome. Prevention and cure are not possible because the cause of NBP is unknown. OBJECTIVE: For correction of the absence of vagina, sigmoidal colpoplasty is believed to provide a neovagina immediately adequate and with permanent patency. We present one of the largest series and discuss advantages and drawbacks of this procedure.
STUDY DESIGN: Our personal technique is described and 16 consecutive cases are reviewed. Anatomical (depth and width of the neovagina) and functional (existence of discharge and coital function) aspects are addressed.
RESULTS: An adequate neovagina was obtained in every case, however, in nine cases iterative dilatations were previously required.

We evaluate sexuality in 100 natural menopausal women as pertains to hormones, symptoms related to intercourse, and marital relationship with sexual desire, orgasm and coital frequency. The mean age was 56.8 years while menopausal age was 50.3 years. The postmenopausal syndrome presented 55.0% occurring 1 to 7 years after menopause (mean 3.4 years). To determine the incidence of penile condyloma in a group of high-risk men, we carried out colposcopy and biopsy of suspicious lesions in 51 men. All men were partners of women with condyloma. Of these men, 45 were found to have histologic evidence of condyloma, and only eight of these had grossly visible disease.
