BACKGROUND: Aneurysms are associated with a mortality rate of 81% or more in cases of rupture. Intraluminal thrombus (ILT) is a common complication of aneurysms, it can greatly increase the risk of rupture. Especially for some of the more complex aneurysms, physicians need to consider the risk of thrombosis or progression and precisely formulate a treatment plan. Therefore, it is particularly important to assess the level of thrombosis risk through haemodynamics.

A 63-year-old woman presented with postmenopausal bleeding. The initial curettage material was reported as "undifferentiated malignant tumor." A total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy was performed with pelvic lymph node dissection and omental biopsy, which showed an intravascular large B-cell lymphoma in the lumina of small blood vessels of the uterus, left tube, and right ovary. This is the first reported case of an intravascular lymphoma of the uterus.

We describe a procedure for "chain-link" combined tissue transfer connecting the vascular pedicle of a deep circumflex iliac flap with that of a forearm flap after wide resection of the mandible. Combination of these flaps facilitated the reconstruction of the defect in both intra- and extraoral soft tissue and the mandibular bone. This method is useful when cervical recipient blood vessels are limited due to the wide resection of the primary tumor and radical neck dissection.

We have developed a method for quantitating corneal neovascularization, induced in anesthetized rats by silver nitrate/potassium nitrate cauterization, using a LeMont OASYS video input image analyzer. BACKGROUND AND AIM: Hemorrhage is often encountered after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). In addition to active bleeding after resection, exposed blood vessels and blood clots without active bleeding on the post-dissection ulcer floor have been recognized within our department. We consider exposed and/or observable vessel findings and clots on the ulcer floor after re-section as important risk factors for hemorrhage. Here, we compared and examined the active bleeding frequency and "post-resection ulcer at risk of bleeding" on the day following ESD, in relation to their risk factors.

Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia is defined as an increase in the length and diameter of the intracranial arteries. Clinical manifestations of dolichoectasiae result from compression of the cranial nerves and structures of the brain stem, turbulent flow causing tinnitus and vertigo, often with damages of small blood vessels of the brain. Dolichoectasia is an ishemic stroke risk factor. The role of dolichoectasia in occurrence of haemorrhagic stroke, aneurysm and arterial dissection and thrombosis is still not fully understood (Ref. 34).
