Acute kidney injury (AKI) is closely associated with the mortality of hospitalized patients and long-term development of chronic kidney disease, especially in children. BACKGROUND: Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare tumor of mesenchymal origin that commonly occurs in the lung. Because of its non-specific clinical and imaging features, IMT is often misdiagnosed as a malignant tumor. There have been few imaging reports on IMT of the head and neck.
PURPOSE: To analyze the computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) of the head and neck.

BACKGROUND: Computed tomographic angiography (CTA) has become the primary non-invasive method for detection of cerebral artery aneurysms in many neurovascular centers.
PURPOSE: To compare MR-angiography at a 3.0 tesla (3T) scanner to CTA in the detection of unruptured intracranial aneurysms.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: CTA and 3T MRA data from 60 patients were evaluated. CTA was obtained with a 4-16-row helical CT-scanner after administration of 120 cc intravenous contrast agent, MRA was performed by a 3T MR-scanner using time-of-flight pulse sequence.

Upper gastrointestinal contrast studies are frequently performed in neonates to rule out conditions such as malrotation. Low osmolality water-soluble (LOWS) contrast media are currently considered safe for use in neonates. The clinical course of a neonate with suspected necrotising enterocolitis, who deteriorated significantly due to peritonitis following contrast study with LOWS, is reported. The possibility that LOWS contrast media may not always be safe in high-risk neonates is raised.
