Dihydrochalcomycin (1) and chalcomycin, (2), two known chalcomycins, and chalcomycin E (3), a new compound, were isolated from marine-derived Streptomyces sp. HK-2006-1. Two hundred fungal isolates (Aspergillus and Fusarium species) from mycotic keratitis were tested for in vitro susceptibilities to amphotericin B and proteinase production. We report on a fatal case of invasive fungal rhinosinusitis with Aspergillus fumigatus after lung transplantation.
