We report the MRI findings of six unusual lesions of the internal auditory canal: three haemangiomas, one lipoma, one metastasis and one traumatic neuroma. We compare the findings to those of 20 intracanalicular schwannomas. We noted the site and size of the tumour, its signal intensity, borders and the homogeneity of enhancement were studied on T1-weighted images before and after intravenous contrast medium and T2-weighted images. CONTEXT: This paper reports a detailed epidemiological investigation of a large Haff disease outbreak in Nanjing, China, including laboratory analysis of water, river sediment, and fish.
METHODS: Structured questionnaires were administered to all case-patients. An unmatched case-control study was conducted to identify the factors affecting the incidence of Haff disease. Thirteen samples of crayfish, together with four samples of water and four samples of sediment were collected and sent for laboratory analysis.

In dogs with a postpyloric fistula, the food with relatively large content of fat passed out of the stomach by equal portions although not exponentially. The size of these portions seem to be determined by the ability of small intestine to digest and absorb the portion of fat which has passed the pyloric sphincter. A prospective study of 1843 patients was performed to identify the frequency of imaging the medial portion of the greater pectoral muscle on the craniocaudal projection during routine mammography. This artifact was seen in 14 patients. None of these patients had a palpable abnormality; additional craniocaudal views revealed continuity of the density with the pectoral muscle. We report a case of mediastinal lymphatic venous malformations (LVM) in a 11-year-old boy who presented with chest pain after jumping into a swimming pool, with review of the literature. A superior mediastinal mass was incidentally found from the chest x-ray.
