Interleukin-17 (IL-17) has been associated with the pathogenesis of numerous autoimmune diseases. CD4+ T cells secreting IL-17 are termed Th17 cells. CD8+ T cells, designated Tc17 cells, are also capable of secreting IL-17. Mass cytometry was employed to investigate 47 circulating leukocyte subsets in patients with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA, n = 16) compared to healthy controls (n = 13), seropositive (RF and/or anti-CCP, n = 12) and seronegative (n = 9) RA patients. BACKGROUND: Septic shock is a great threat to human life. Our aim is to explore the immune status and dynamic changes of circulating cytotoxic cells in septic shock patients.

Peripheral blood lymphocyte subpopulations were studied in 12 German shepherd dogs suffering from deep pyoderma (GSP). Twelve other healthy but matched dogs were used as controls. GSP was found to be associated with an imbalance in the CD4 and CD8 subsets (respectively 37.3 +/- 8.7% and 28.6 +/- 6.6%, as compared to 47.5 +/- 8.8% and 19.3 +/- 4.0% in the controls). We performed an observational clinical study, the effects of tacrolimus (FK506) on the thymic output in patients with refractory inflammatory myopathies.
