METHODS: Seventy-four patients, ≥ 18 years, who underwent periodontal and implant surgeries were recruited. PSA and PSF were measured using the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS) and Dental Fear Survey (DFS). PS was evaluated 2 weeks post…

Biostimulants in Aesthetic Medicine: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Efficacy, Safety, and Patient Satisfaction.

Biostimulants, including calcium hydroxyapatite, poly-L-lactic acid, and polycaprolactone, have become popular in aesthetic medicine as they lead to long-term tissue rejuvenation. However, their efficacy (eg, dermal, volume, and anatomic outcomes), patient satisfaction, and safety remain unclear. This systematic review and meta-analysis collates and appraises the available data on biostimulants, examining their efficacy, adverse events, and patient satisfaction. A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed/Medline (National Library of Medicine, Bethesda, MD), Scopus (Elsevier, Amsterdam, the…

Determinants of Patient Satisfaction with Vascular Access in Hemodialysis: Insights from a Multicenter Study in Italy.

Background: Vascular access is a very important element for patients on chronic hemodialysis treatment, but it is also a major source of complications, often compromising patients' quality of life. Arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) are preferred for their durability, but complications such as edema, bruising, cannulation pain, and hygiene concerns can affect patient satisfaction. Aim: We aimed to evaluate patient satisfaction with vascular access and to identify the clinical and sociodemographic factors influencing this satisfaction. Methods: We conducted a multicenter cross-sectional study on 235…
