One of the eligible criteria for patients to receive boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is based on the tumour-to-normal ratio (T/N) measured by FBPA-PET. However, there is no standard protocol for normal region-of-interested delineation. Serum-selenium concentrations were measured in 2 dietetically treated patients with maple-syrup-urine disease, in 11 dietetically treated patients with phenylketonuria, in 37 healthy children of different ages and in 183 healthy adults. One group of enzymes that confer resistance to aminoglycoside antibiotics through covalent modification belongs to the GCN5-related N-acetyltransferase (GNAT) superfamily. We show how a unique GNAT subfamily member uses a previously unidentified noncanonical catalytic triad, consisting of a glutamic acid, a histidine, and the antibiotic substrate itself, which acts as a nucleophile and attacks the acetyl donor molecule. Neutron diffraction studies allow for unambiguous identification of a low-barrier hydrogen bond, predicted in canonical catalytic triads to increase basicity of the histidine.

Bone mineral of spine, femur, tibia, forearm, calcaneus, hand, and foot was studied on nine volunteers by quantitative computed tomography, neutron activation analysis, single and dual photon absorptiometry during and after long-term hypokinesia. Almost eight years ago, in December 2001, we performed for the first time in the world thermal neutron irradiation on an isolated liver of a patient. The organ was affected by diffuse metastases of a colon carcinoma and had been previously loaded with a (10)B compound. In July 2003, the same procedure was applied again on a patient for the treatment of unresectable and incurable hepatic metastases of a carcinoma of the rectum. Both patients are dead at present. Co-assembly and self-sorting in multicomponent systems are typically treated as mutually exclusive outcomes. Here, we show that this distinction is incomplete. Using enantiomeric peptide nanotubes, we demonstrate that a single co-assembled structure forms only at an equimolar composition, yet remains internally self-sorted into compositionally distinct domains. In a recent manuscript, Lawrence Brightet al(2023J. Phys.: Condens. Matter35175501) reported the resonant inelastic x-ray scattering spectra of U3O8, as well as UN. An electron and joint neutron and X-ray diffraction study of the synthetic copper/chromium phosphate NaCuCr2(PO4)3 (NaCuP) is reported.
