The diagnostic and therapeutic utility of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in pediatric age was investigated in fifteen children aged 4 days-16 years (mean age 6.4 years) observed for paroxysmal (Group A-9 pts) or incessant (Group B-6 pts) tachycardia. Frozen semen samples are generally used today for artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization (IVF) and have various advantages above freshly produced semen. A disadvantage is that substances may leak out of the sperm if the membrane is damaged during freezing.
