Colonic perforations can be classified into perforations that occur at the site of a localized pathologic process and cecal perforations that occur secondary to distal colonic obstructions. Multislice computed tomography (CT) is a widely used radiological investigation that accurately reveals the number, location, and extent of the fractures as well as concomitant soft tissue injuries and has been found to be superior in the diagnosis of maxillofacial fractures owing to high sensitivity and specificity. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to review the multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) findings of synchronous lymphoma and other solid malignancies.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: This retrospective study included 18 patients confirmed with diagnosis of lymphoma and other solid malignancies. Intestinal lipomatosis also known as lipohyperplasia is a rare disease. Diffuse infiltration of the fatty tissue mainly in the submucosal layer is characteristic. It is usually asymptomatic and found incidentally. We report a case of lipomatosis in the terminal ileum and ileocecal valve.
