Authors present rarely and unusual original methods for billiary drainage type as combination of exsternal drainage and percutaneus gastrostomy. Method used in four patients with irreversibile obstruction during the last 3 years in Inteventional Radiology Dept. Clinical Center of Serbia. In all cases we have satisfactory results with survival time of about 30 days.

Our case report of acute cholestatic liver injury highlights the potential hepatotoxicity of nimesulide treatment in combination with oral contraception. We report the case of a 68-year-old African woman who presented with jaundice, hepatomegaly and anasarca. Clinical investigation disclosed severe intrahepatic cholestasis, nephrotic syndrome, erythrocytosis and hypoglycemia. Diagnosis of systemic AL amyloidosis was established by percutaneous liver biopsy. Bone marrow biopsy showed 32% of myeloma cells. Recently, ICP has also been recognised as a risk factor for neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in term or near-term neonates. A case of jaundice due to canalicular cholestasis during amiodarone therapy is reported. A definite diagnosis was attained by ultrastructural evidence of a phospholipidosis pattern, a characteristic amiodarone-induced injury. Jaundice occurred within the third month of therapy. Serum bilirubin levels continued to increase in the two weeks following drug withdrawal. A slow decrease was observed in the following three months. Only four cases of jaundice associated with amiodarone therapy have been reported until now.

We report surgical reversal of intractable total parenteral nutrition (TPN)-associated cholestasis refractory to conservative treatment in 9 premature infants. Of 496 neonates and infants less than 1 year of age admitted to the paediatric surgical intensive care unit (PSICU) over a 5 year period (1983-1987), 94 required total parenteral nutrition (TPN) for more than 14 consecutive days, generally due to congenital anomalies of the digestive tract.
