The risk of an internal mammary lymph node (IMN) metastasis and its prognostic value for patients with invasive breast cancer were assessed by evaluating 142 patients who had either a mastectomy with lymph node dissection or a biopsy of the IMN. By univariate analysis, overall survival significantly correlated with the patient's age, clinical axillary node status, tumor size, and DNA ploidy, as well as histologically confirmed axillary and IMN metastases. An artificial neural network (ANN) is a computational model that improves predictive ability through pattern recognition while continually adapting to new input data. INTRODUCTION: We sought to translate, cross-culturally adapt, and evaluate the internal consistency and validity of the Chinese version of the 15-Item Myasthenia Gravis Quality of Life (MG-QOL15).
METHODS: Translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the MG-QOL15 were performed. We used Cronbach's α to test internal consistency, one-way analysis of variance to test construct validity, and Pearson or Spearman correlations to test discriminant and concurrent validity.
