Objective: To analysis of the change of the constitution of the admitted patients with glaucoma in Capital Medical University affiliated Beijing Tongren Hospital between 2003-2005(group 2003) and 2013-2015(group 2013). PURPOSE: The time course of visual field defects in patients with primary glaucoma was investigated for 20 or more years.
METHODS: The subjects were 51 eyes of 29 patients (open angle glaucoma, 40 eyes of 21 patients angle closure glaucoma, 11 eyes of 8 patients). PURPOSE: To report the various types of glaucoma among West African patients presenting to an eye clinic in Ghana.
METHODS: A complete evaluation was performed in 198 consecutive Ghanaian glaucoma patients. Main outcome measures included intraocular pressure, visual acuity, gonioscopy findings, visual field, and total number of glaucoma medications.
RESULTS: The most common form of glaucoma was primary open-angle glaucoma (44.2%). Open-angle glaucoma suspects also comprised a large percentage of the group (30.5%). Chronic angle-closure glaucoma was diagnosed in 6.6% of the patients.
